Essie Foxford lives near Manchester in England. She has a degree in Economics and a career working in company finance departments, both of which have enabled an easy transition into fantasy writing.

She frequently imagines she lives with the genies from her books and is always surprised that they never remember to make the family meals or do any housework.

Essie writes humorous fantasy adventures packed with quirky humour, nail biting escapades, out of control magic and the occasional dash of romance.

Her Genius Consultants series follows Amethyst Oleander, a woman who is about to find out that genies not only exist, but they work in the town where she lives.

The first book in the series is A Twist of Amethyst. There is also a Genius Consultants story origins novella out 15th October 2026 which can be read at any stage of the series.
